Everything started in the late 1980’s when Alan McMackin opened his litigation practice in Whitby. Alan had a 40-year career as a lawyer in which he was successful in dozens and dozens of trials, appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and positively impacted the lives of hundreds of clients.
Alan has been living in Bowmanville since 2007. Alan’s eldest son Ryan joined the practice full time in 2014 and in 2016 Alan decided to move the practice to Clarington. In 2019 after over 41 years as a lawyer Alan decided to retire from the practice of law. He now sits as a Deputy Judge and provides while mentoring and providing guidance to Ryan who now runs the family business.
Ryan possesses a great attention to detail. Ryan recognizes that while results are the key to long term success the little things can matter just as much if not more to many clients. He recognizes the importance of keeping clients informed throughout the proceeding. To ensure clients are best served he provides them his personal number. You will deal directly with Ryan rather than staff members who do not know your case.
