We have been serving the Durham Region for over 30 years on Civil Litigation, Business and Employment matters. It all started in the late 1980’s when Alan McMackin decided to open up his own law practice in Whitby. Prior to opening up his firm Alan enjoyed a decade of practice working for the Federal Development Bank and later becoming a partner at Sims Brady McMackin. Alan had a great career and retired from the practice of law in 2019. He is currently a Deputy Judge. Ryan now runs the practice under the guidance and mentorship of Alan.
Ryan is a talented litigator just as Alan was. He has a strong belief that there are three keys to maintaining a positive client relationship. The first and obvious one is results. The second, is open and honest communication. The third is maintaining client communication.
The results of McMackin Law speak for themselves as many of our clients have remained using us for decades. One of the most important factors is to set realistic goals from the beginning. When you meet with Ryan, he will walk you through the various positives, negatives and potential arguments for / against your case. The expectation for return is going to be far different for an individual with a very high-risk propensity to that of one with a very low risk threshold. Ryan will discuss with you how to proceed with your matter in accordance with your goals and needs.
In order to ensure the second and third keys are met Ryan provides his direct phone number. When you call Ryan, you will not be stuck dealing with staff members who probably don’t know the details of your case or strategy employed.
